Product Review – Lush

Two of my must have products, which I’m never without are Lush Big shampoo and Lush Buffy body scrub bar.

Lush Big Shampoo £9.90 for 330g

Lush says: “Give limp hair the volume it deserves, with seaweed infusion to soften hair and citrus juices for shine.  After using Big, your hair will be bouncing back to life”

Being in the unfortunate position of having very fine, soft and oil prone hair, I’ve tried every volumising shampoo out there, and in my opinion this is the very best.  I think it’s secret is how clean it gets your hair, you don’t get that weighed down producty feeling and the result is lighter more volumised hair!  Although Lush offer several conditioners, I’ve yet to find one moisturizing enough to balance this shampoo, so I tend to use my normal conditioner, at the moment I’m pairing it with Paul Mitchell Colour Care conditioner and they compliment each other really well.

Buffy Body Butter (the backside slayer!) £5 for 90g bar

Lush says:

“Exfoliating scrub for your seating area. Use Buffy on wet skin, in the bath or the shower, to make you softer and smooth to the touch.”

I use this product about once a week, normally the night before I fake tan.  The ground rice acts as the exfoliant, and will get even the most stubborn leftover tan off, without leaving you feeling scratched or raw.  The cocoa and shea butters in Buffy are busy moisturizing your skin as you exfoliate, because of their oily qualities they stay on your skin, meaning you can jump out of the bath, pat yourself dry and there’s no need for any moisturizer!  It will leave your skin smooth and soft, and creates the perfect base for tanning the following day.
