I’m Jennifer and I’m a fully qualified, freelance Make Up Artist.
After graduating University with a degree in Marketing, I worked in fashion for several years. Although passionate about fashion, I found myself in front of a computer most days and longed for something more creative and diverse. In 2008 I took the leap and left my job to pursue my dream of Make Up Artistry.
I first studied Make Up Artistry at London College of Fashion, I then enrolled in a more intensive course at the Make Up Designory School in Los Angeles where I graduated their Fashion Make Up Artistry Journeyman programme with merit.
I am now based in Glasgow, although I have lived and worked in London. I have a bridal make up and hair business Asteria Bridal with by business partner Pamela Docherty Hairstylist – we also have a boutique salon in Glasgow City Centre – 132 West Regent Street, where we work with a talented team of girls offering a wide range of treatments.
I am also the beauty writer for Salon NV Magazine – where I review products in my monthly column.
In addition to bridal and make up clients, I do a lot of fashion work and have featured in magazines such as Red, Marie Claire, Ok!, Tatler and the Scottish Wedding Directory. I also work regularly with STV and BBC Scotland – both television and radio. I am also lucky enough to be the make up artist of choice for several celebrity clients when they are in Scotland for events. Additional clients include Debenhams, Adidas & Reebok.
